What do I need to decide before applying?

Before you put in your application, you’ll need to decide the exact type of training you want to pursue:

● A full-time course leading to Qualified Teacher Status, cost £8,250, bursaries and scholarships may be available

● A full-time course leading to Qualified Teacher Status with Post Graduate Certificate in Education, cost £9,250, bursaries and scholarships may be available

● A part-time course over two years leading to Qualified Teacher Status (secondary only), cost £12,000 in total, bursaries and scholarships may be available

● A part-time course over two years leading to Qualified Teacher Status with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (secondary only) cost £12,935 in total, bursaries and scholarships may be available

Assessment Only Route leading to Qualified Teacher Status, cost £3250, no bursaries. This is not a training programme. It is only available to applicants who are currently employed by a school, who have been teaching full time for two years including planning, teaching and assessing pupils, and who have taught in two different schools and across two key stages.
